Current Favourite Youtubers | Blogmas Day 9

It has been a while since I spoke about Youtube on here or gave you a little update on who I'm watching these days so i thought I would do that for you guys today!

GowithFlick

This is Felicity Jackson, she is eighteen, from Australia and is a booktuber/vlogger. The fact that she is Australian makes me love her instantly! I could listen to her talk all day with that accent of hers. I have only recently came across her YouTube channel but by god am I glad I did! I have watched pretty much all of her videos, vlogs from her second channel and all her main channel videos and I love them all. She is such a down to earth, happy go lucky type of person and I love it. I could watch her all day and never get bored. Felicity also does the "12 days of Flickmas" and I cannot wait for that to begin!! Her mum also appears in some video's and seems like the sweetest person! They have a great relationship and it makes watching Felicity's videos even more enjoyable. I would 100% recommend having a look at her YouTube channel, you definitely wont regret it!

FabulousHannah

Hannah was in my last favourite YouTubers post and nothing has changed! I still absolutely love her! Her sarcasm, sense of humour, down to earth attitude and her lovely personality in general are just such a winner for me. Her boyfriend Tom is very sweet and funny too when he appears in videos. I love each and every video Hannah uploads, whether it is a vlog or a main channel video, In fact, I wish she was doing vlogmas this year, I would love to watch daily video's of Hannah. There would be nothing better than a video from FabHan every day in my opinion. If for some reason you haven't heard of or come across Hannah then first of all HOW? Secondly, get checking her YouTube channel out ASAP! You will definitely not regret it!

SprinkleofGlitter

Now I am pretty sure Louise was in my last favourite YouTubers post as well but I just bloody love her. Louise has an amazing sense of humour, a sarcastic attitude, an adorable daughter, some hilarious but incredibly lovely friends and a new baby daughter on the way! What's not to love?! My love for her only increases, especially during her weekly vlogs which are most definitely one of my favourite video's to watch. I cannot wait until the end of each week to watch them! I do wish Louise was doing vlogmas this year but with a baby due very very soon it is understandable why she opted out this year! Louise has always been one of my favourite YouTubers to watch and I was lucky enough to have met her a few years ago. She is the same lovely, sarcastic and funny woman that she is in her videos! There is just nothing not to like about her so if you haven't already, definitely go and watch all of her videos, especially her weekly vlogs, they are always the best!

Brummymummyof2

Emma is another YouTuber I have only recently discovered and boy am I glad I did! She is like another Louise Pentland! She is lovely and sarcastic and hilarious and has two very adorable children. I actually came across Emma's YouTube channel through a video she collaborated with Louise on and it was hilarious! Emma and Louise together in a video is a comedy match made in heaven. Throw a Christmas theme into that video and you have the perfect video combination! Emma loves Christmas, her kids, Disney and vlogging so what is not to love about her and her family! I love watching her video's and they always make me laugh! She is definitely a YouTuber who deserves so much more recognition!

SacconeJoly's

What a surprise to find the SacconeJoly family in my YouTube favourites, yet again! I don't think these guys will ever not be a favourite of mine! Emilia, Eduardo and little Alessia are just so sweet, funny, adorable and always put a smile on your face and Anna and Jonathan are funny, down to earth and such amazing people and parents! The SacconeJoly's are a daily vlogging family who live just outside of London and their video's have the power to make anybody smile no matter how rubbish a day you might be having. I look forward to 6pm each day for their latest vlog and it always makes me smile! Anna and Jonathan are such amazing parents, there is no debate about it even with the hateful comments they receive. They are raising three wonderful kids, they have both been through tough times with eating disorders, bereavement, miscarriage and sexual assault and yet they will talk about it with quite a degree of openness despite how hard that must be and it is because they know it will help others and set a positive example to their kids! I have so much respect and admiration for these guys and I am still over the moon and in awe that I got to meet them last month! They work so hard and deserve so many more viewers and subscribers than they have so get clicking onto their channel if you haven't already!

These guys are definitely not the only YouTubers I watch. I watch so many more but these guys are just my current go to's to watch. They could upload absolutely anything and I would happily watch, no matter the content. With three YouTubers the same as the last YouTuber favourites I did, it may seem that I'm not very adventurous with who I watch but I promise I watch so many new people. They just don't compare to these guys! I just love them and you will too! Definitely check them out and let me know who you are loving and watching at the moment!

Holiday Planning & Hockey | Blogmas Day 8

Travelling is one of the top things I want to do in life. My nana did a lot of travelling throughout her life and she loved it! She has been to Austria, Russia, Germany and Poland to name a few places. I went to Austria for a skiing holiday about seven years ago and it was incredible! The views of the mountains were to die for and I would love to go back I have a list of places I would love to travel to and Austria is on there even though I have already been. I would also love to go to Germany, Poland, Canada, Mexico, Iceland and so many more places!

My friends also want to travel to all these places so we are going to make our way (very slowly) through the list we have. We are 100% going to travel somewhere after we finish our masters degree and right now, that place is likely to be Canada! We have done a fair amount of research and we are definitely favouring Banff and Yellowknife. There are the most beautiful views of the mountains, forests and lakes in Banff and Yellowknife is one of the best places to see the Northern Lights. We have looked at flights, hotels, transport and things to do there and right now we are pretty certain we would be going for two weeks! We are going to holiday plan a lot more next week but for now Banff and Yellowknife are definitely at the top of the list. Who wouldn't want to go here?!

We would definitely be going to a hockey game whilst in Canada. Hockey here is great but hockey in Canada would be amazing. The atmosphere would be incredible and you can't go to Canada and not go to a hockey game! It just so happens that one of my pals' favourite teams are Canadian so we might get lucky and time it around one of their games! For now, hockey here will keep me going. Especially when I get to meet my favourite player of the Braehead Clan at the end of my shift! Last week I was lucky enough to meet the entire team, chat to some of the players and get a poster signed by them all. This week I got to chat to my favourite player and get him to sign a poster again but this time I managed to get a picture with him! I could not have been happier! It was just typical that the night one of our favourite players does a signing is the night that Lisa isn't working. Oh well, she got a picture with her favourite player last week. Plus, since I am a top pal, I got her a signed poster too! My favourite player is our goal tender Ryan Nie and my god he pulls off some bloody good saves. If I got to play hockey, I would definitely be a goaltender. Nie is also Canadian and has a very cute family, including a newborn and he will still do the signings and will take pictures with fans. He has definitely improved the start of the very long working weekend ahead of me.

💕 | Blogmas Day 7

Every family has that one person who is just a little bit more special than the rest. You're not supposed to have favourites but let's be honest, everybody has them, I know you do. In my family, my favourite was most definitely my nana. She was the head of our family, the glue that kept us all together, she was one of a kind.

Nana was such a selfless person, always doing as much as she could for others. She's built houses for underdeveloped communities in less developed countries more than once, interpreted and became a befriender for the deaf and volunteered as a first aider as well! Now I know who I get my eagerness to help others from. The last time she flew to a different country to build houses and community halls was when she was 60! Nothing was stopping her, I was just frustrated that I was to young to go with her that last time! Like me, my nana had epilepsy but she used her experiences and knowledge to help others by volunteering for Epilepsy Scotland for over thirty years. She helped newly diagnosed individuals to accept and understand the diagnosis, raised money for the organisation and helped to organise events. She truly was an amazing person.

As I have mentioned, nana has built houses and community buildings in less developed countries. Well, the last time she did this she somehow managed to throw her false teeth in a public bin. Now can you imagine a woman searching frantically through a public bin? You would automatically think she had dropped something valuable like a ring or something. That is exactly what the three Romanian men who stopped to help her search through the bin thought. Well, until she finally found her teeth and they realised. I would have paid to see this whole scene unfold. It is just so typically nana. She was always doing daft things like this and as her grandchildren, it was our obligation to never let her forget these clumsy moments.

I have never been a mummy's girl or a daddy's girl but I have always been a nana's girl. Each Saturday we would all go to Morrison's for lunch and to get my nana's weekly food shop. Before we left the house, I would secretly pack pyjamas, clean knickers and my teddy into a tiny backpack. After we'd finished lunch and the shopping I would always ask nana if I could stay over with her. She always said yes as long as my mum agreed and the only issue my mum ever had was going home to get my things. Little did she know, I already had it packed and with me nearly every single time! Saturday's had always been my favourite. Lunch at Morrisons, back to nana's to help her make dinner for us both, eating together whilst watching 1 vs 100, snuggling up to watch Casualty and then countless episodes of CSI (no I was definitely not old enough to watch CSI but I loved it) and then nana would tuck me into bed and put a video on for me to fall asleep to. It was always either a non-disney cartoon of Beauty and the Beast or a True Movie (again, I definitely wasn't old enough to watch). Then, the next day, I would go to church with her. It was the best, I loved staying with my nana nearly every weekend.

I treasure memories like this.

Trips to the zoo, holidays in the cottage in St Andrew's, even the simple things like nana picking me up from school and getting the bus home. I love them all.

I remember one of the trips to the zoo with my youngest cousin Adam in particular. We spent the whole bus journey murdering songs with nana telling us how good we sounded. It was just us two and nana that day and it was great. Half way through the day, nana had given us a pound each to have a shot on the helter skelter slide. We were thrilled. Now, Adam being a typical, competitive little boy decided he wanted to race to the bottom but then cheated so he would win. The joke was on him though because he ended up breaking his arm, twice. Once when he landed at the bottom of the slide at an awkward angle and then once when I came down the slide and slid over his already broken arm. Adam then did what any little boy would do at this stage...he went and hid up a tree. I will never get the image of my nana attempting to climb this tree to get Adam down out of my memory. It was brilliant. He eventually came down and we took him to hospital. He was so chuffed to be getting a cast on his arm so that people could sign it. Nana was the first to sign it though, naturally. Even now Adam claims I broke his arm that day and it's been nearly 10 years! I don't think either of us will forget how good that day was though, despite the broken bones.

As I mentioned before, my nana had epilepsy. She was diagnosed at the age of twelve and my god did she get herself into some sticky situations because of it. She managed to break both of her legs whilst having a seizure one time. Not only that, she managed to do so whilst in a hospital anyways. She also somehow managed to end up having a seizure on live train tracks with an oncoming train swiflty approaching. God knows what was going through the minds of the men who jumped onto the track to lift her up to safety. My nana truly was something else. I literally have no words to describe her.

Recently, we lost my nana so these memories really are only memories now. I have hundreds of stories and memories about my nana I could share. In fact, I could probably write an entire book! I treasure each and every one of these memories. The good, the bad, the happy, the sad and the moments you couldn't make up if you tried.

This will be our first Christmas without my nana, it will be hard but I will not let the sadness get in the way of the celebration. Nana loved Christmas and so do I and I will enjoy the day as much as I can, for myself and for her. These are two of my favourite pictures, the first is from Christmas last year and is probably one of the last pictures I had taken with my nana. The second is one of the last times she was able to leave the house, go to Morrison's for lunch and do her shopping. Every time I look at these photo's, they make me smile, she makes me smile.

This is not a sad post, it is a happy one. We all lose someone special to us at some point in our lives, it's just the way life goes but it's the memories that keep us all going and that is why I decided to share some of my favourite memories of my nana today.

Vegan Q&A | Blogmas Day 6

I have been vegan for an entire year! I am proud of myself so I thought I would do a little impromptu Q&A on being vegan with the questions I get asked all the time!

Why did you decide to go vegan?

I had been thinking about veganism for a while before I decided to take the plunge. To be honest, I had never really been a big meat or dairy eater to begin with. The only meat I really consumed was chicken and even then it was on a very rare occasion and I have never liked fish or beef. I also have a slight intolerance to dairy anyway so I have always tended to avoid it. It just made sense for me to try being vegan since on most days, I was probably already accidentally eating vegan.

The other reasons that prompted me to become vegan were the health benefits: your internal body benefits so much from a vegan diet and so does your skin, the environmental benefits: you are not consuming any animal products or contributing to any of the processes involved in the preparation of the animal products that are incredibly damaging to the environment and lastly I just don't believe we should be taking what is not ours to take or hurting animals for our own unnecessary pleasure. Cows milk is for calves, chicken's eggs are created to become chicks and animals are born to live, not to die for us to have five minutes of pleasure.

Were your friends and family supportive of your decision to become vegan?

My friends have always been very supportive. They don't necessarily share my beliefs but they support my decision and are always conscious and considerate when we go out to eat. My family, on the other hand, do not understand veganism in the slightest. They think it's pointless and do not share or attempt understand any of my beliefs. They are all hoping I will just "grow out of it". Unfortunately for them, I am 22 years of age and I am most definitely not going to grow out of veganism. My mum is getting better and is at least attempting to check whether foods are vegan before she buys them so that's an improvement!

What's the hardest thing about being vegan?

I have definitely got to say that eating out it probably the hardest thing about being vegan. There are vegan options in 90% of places nowadays but there doesn't tend to be much variety unless you are going to an actual vegan restaurant. Most places will have a vegan curry on the menu and fast food places have a vegetarian burger that is vegan as long as you as for the mayonnaise to be removed! I don't actually think it is that hard to eat out as a vegan, it is more frustrating because of the lack of options available but it is definitely possible! As for cooking and eating in general, a lot of foods and snacks are accidentally vegan and there are thousands of recipes out there for breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks so you will never be stuck for an idea!

Do you miss any foods you can no longer eat, like cheese or chocolate?

There are a lot of vegan alternatives to most foods. I am actually allergic to chocolate and I was never a big cheese lover beforehand but there are some really good smoked and cream cheeses that are vegan and perfect to have with crackers and there are is a good selection of dairy free chocolates and dark chocolate out there! Every day there are more and more vegan options popping up so there is never anything that I could eat before that I miss now. There is a lot of accidentally vegan food out there, a lot of it being junk food. You are probably eating a lot more vegan foods than you realise!

Is it expensive to be vegan?

If you shop at a health food store or buy fresh and organic everything then yes, it can be expensive but if you are fine with dry herbs and spices and willing to go to more than one supermarket then it can be quite cheap!

Some tips and tricks are frozen and canned fruits and vegetables are cheaper than fresh, rice and pasta are a necessity, branded products don't always mean they are better, plan ahead as much as you can and always look out for deals! I recently came across a deal on vegan sausages and I definitely stocked up!

Are you lacking in any essential vitamins?

Nope! All my vitamin, iron and calcium levels are absolutely normal and I don't actually take any supplements for deficiencies. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

Do you think you will always be vegan?

Yes! I love being vegan and I really wouldn't have it any other way! I just wish there wasn't a stereotype attached to being vegan. I definitely do not plan on changing my vegan lifestyle anytime soon.

I hope this cleared up any misconceptions surrounding veganism! I will be posting vegan recipes on my blog every now and then so keep an eye out for them if you are interested!

10 Gift Ideas for Under £10! (girls edition) | Blogmas Day 5

Personally, I love buying presents because I really don't find it hard to buy for people. Grant, some people can be a little tricky but on the grand scheme of things I find it pretty easy to buy presents for friends and family. In fact, I am that person who has their Christmas shopping finished before December even begins. You just need to make it personal to them! If they like drawing and painting then get them some arty things, if they like ice hockey then get them some hockey memorabilia and if they like books then get them a few books from the genre they like! If you find it difficult to think of presents to buy people then here are a few ideas!

Pop Funko's

Pop funko's are a great present! Especially when you can find pretty much anything as a pop funko, from Harry Potter characters to Metallica band members, even characters from The 100! I managed to get my hands on Bellamy as a birthday gift a couple of months ago. If you don't like the bigger pop funko's then there are little keyring versions of the majority of the big ones too! There really is something for everyone!

Mini Perfume Festive Bauble

Perfume is expensive and there is far too much to choose from in my opinion. Last year I received a miniature version of the Ghost perfume inside a sparkly Christmas bauble and it was perfect. I had never tried the perfume before but heard good things about it and the bauble was only £6! This is perfect as an extra little gift or even as a stocking filler! You get to try out the perfume without paying a lot of money for a big bottle when you might not even like the scent in the first place. Lot's of perfume and make-up brands release a version this Christmas bauble you just need to have a browse online.

Disney Memorabilia

Everybody loves Disney. It doesn't matter how old you are, you just never outgrow Disney.  On the run up to Christmas, the Disney store have a lot of online offers throughout December. From 30% off Moana and Frozen memorabilia to half price soft toys! Definitely worth a look.

The live action remake of Beauty and the Beast has sparked a new love for Chip. Every single shop is creating their own Chip memorabilia now and I don't blame them because he is very cute! Primark have bags, purses, t-shirts, pyjama's and even socks with Chip on them! A chip mug is an essential for any Disney fan but I think £12.99 is a little steep for a mug, even if it is out of the Disney store. It just so happens that I have found the perfect alternative and it is from b&m! This chip mug looks just as good at the Disney store ones! In fact, you would never be able to tell the difference. The only difference is this one is only £3.99! It is definitely a must have this Christmas.

Pyjama Sets

As I mentioned before, Primark have a lot of different pyjama sets up for grabs. Disney, cats and dogs, ET, NASA, cartoons, Harry Potter and various Christmas styles to name a few! Nobody is going to turn down a cosy pair of pyjama's during the cold, Christmas weather. Most of these sets are priced between £8 and £10 and you can even add it cosy, fluffy socks too! Perfect if you are on a budget this Christmas!

Lush Gift Set

Lush can be expensive, I know. Most of their Christmas gift set's are well over £10 but you do have a couple that are around that £10 and if not, you can always make your own! Pick a couple of Lush products you know the person the gift is intended for will like, put them in a little gift box and wrap them up!  If Lush isn't your thing then you always have The Body Shop who have a huge range of beauty products. You could make up a little goody bag as a gift with a couple of face masks, lip balm, hand cream, shower gel and soap. The Body Shop even do their own Christmas gift set's too! At the end of the day you may get lot's of bath and shower products for Christmas but you are always going to use it so what's not to like?

Vouchers

If you know which shops your friends and family like but you aren't quite sure what to buy them from those shops you can always play it safe with a voucher! That way they can pick exactly what they would like. A £10 voucher can go a long way in certain shops! Vouchers are also perfect to add into stockings or to pair with another gift too!

Books

Books aren't everybody's cup of tea but if you have some one who loves them then you can pick them up fairly cheap. Supermarkets like Tesco and Morrisons have bery good pricing on their books with some hardbacks being as little as £6! Amazon also has a deal on books at the moment. You can get 3 books for £10. I have taken advantage of this deal numerous times and I have managed to save up to £20 on the books I have been purchasing! Even if two of the books you intend to buy are £8.99 each and the third £4.99, the total for all three will only be £10. It's an amazing deal! There is a massive range of books within the offer as well: children's books, crime, mystery, thriller, fiction, fantasy, non-fiction and memoirs. You will definitely find something among those categories. You can never have enough books in my opinion!

Candles/Room Decor

If you don't think of candles at Christmas then you are crazy! There is nothing better than watching a Christmas film with cosy pyjamas on and drinking a hot cup of tea with candles burning around you. I love all the Christmas scents like cinnamon and mulled wine too! Now you don't have to buy the expensive candle brands like Yankee candle, Primark candles smell really good and they last for a decent period of time. Tesco's own candles are the same and you can get some really big sized candles for as little as £8.

Room Decor is always a winner whether that be pillows, ornaments, fairy lights, jewellery holders of Harry Potter coasters like I have in the picture above, they are all great gift ideas! I have been wanting coasters to put in my room for months now because I now have white furniture and I am constantly drinking cups of tea. I was just too impatient to wait until Christmas and bought them for myself as soon as I seen them. Only £4 in Primark!

Make-Up

Every one likes a bit of make-up. Whether it is high end or drug store, as long as the product does what it is supposed to then what does it matter? Sleek is a very affordable drug store brand that I think is great. I was trying so hard to get my hands on their advent calendar this year but unfortunately I wasn't quick enough. Their lipsticks and eye shadow palettes are two of my favourite products. 12 good pigmented eye shadows for £8.99, what's not to like? Now Sleek aren't the only affordable drug store brand with lot's of make-up options, it just happens to be one of my favourites. You also have brands like Barry M, Rimmel, Revlon and Max Factor too!

Make-Up Brushes

There is nothing perfect to go with make-up than some aesthetically pleasing, colourful make up brushes. These mermaid brushes came from Amazon and came to a grand total of £6 for an entire 12 brush set. There were various other options like unicorn horns, Harry Potter wands, silver, gold and rose gold brushes as well. However, if you do prefer to stick with branded products, you can get Real Technique brushes for under or around the £10 mark too. In the picture above, the brush cleansing palette is by the Real Techniques brand and was only £5.19. I did purchase this item on Black Friday but it is currently priced under £10 on Amazon and you can get a combination deal that includes the brush cleansing solution too. A perfect combination of products!

There are plenty of gifts out there for people but I thought I would kick it off and give you ten suggestions that I would be more than happy to receive as a gift this Christmas. There is no need to get stressed out over Christmas shopping because if you take a step back and think of the simple things, you will come up with something and then just add a personal touch! Even joke presents go down well. I always try to throw in a joke present here and there, it just brings another element to the gift, makes it more fun. Hopefully my idea's have helped you come up with some ideas!

Top 5 Christmas Songs | Blogmas Day 4

Who doesn't love a good sing along with some of the classic Christmas songs? I start listening to Christmas music during the last week in November and that definitely isn't too early. I have always had one all time favourite Christmas song but I've also always loved so many more. So, I decided to narrow it down and pick my top 5 Christmas songs.

1) Wonderful Christmas Time - Paul McCartney

This is and always has been my all time favourite Christmas song. It brings back so many childhood memories of watching one of my favourite Christmas films with my brother: Rudolph, as the song plays at one of the best parts of the film.

During the song, there is an instrumental section during the lyrics "simply having a wonderful Christmas time". This is when my brother and I would bop our heads closer and closer together under we collided and essentially head butted each other. We thought this was absolutely hilarious and every single time I hear the song, that is the vision I have in my head. It makes me smile every single time. Especially since my brother is nearly twenty and a moody young man now and no longer a sweet little kid.

2) Happy Xmas (War is over) - John Lennon

This song instantly makes me think of being sat around the decorated dining room table with my mum, dad and brother about to tuck into the Christmas dinner being served on the fancy crockery. This is the first song on the CD we always had playing in the background on Christmas day. Christmas day when I was younger was always so much happier and magical compared to Christmas day now and I long for how it used to be. Listening to this song takes me back to how it used to be and I gives me such a warm feeling.

3) Last Christmas - Wham!

I love this song because my mum loved this song and constantly used to play it leading up to Christmas. She would dance around the living room often pulling my brother and I up to join in too. These moments are rare nowadays so I treasure the memories of these moments as much as I can, especially when my mum isn't a big fan of Christmas anymore.

4) All I Want For Christmas - Mariah Carey

The reason I love this Christmas song is plain and simple. It's the song I will belt out like nobody's business. Who doesn't love a good sing and dance around? Exactly! In my opinion, this is one of the best Christmas songs to sing and dance to. It doesn't matter if you are a good or bad singer, an amazing or completely rubbish dancer, whether you are tidying your room or cooking in the kitchen, it is always a good option.

Yes, I'll admit I have the tendency to have a good sing and dance whilst I cook in the kitchen. Who doesnt?

5) I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday - Wizzard

This is the song that would always be played as my brother and I opened our presents or just as we had finished opening our presents.

Can you tell I am a sentimental person?

Sitting in the living room, picking the best films to watch throughout the day on TV, surrounded by our freshly opened presents whilst my dad cooks breakfast and my mum sits with us is one of the best family memories of Christmas. It would also be played after Christmas dinner, after we had demolished all the food we possibly could. This song would signal the beginning of a post-Christmas dinner dance party. I'm still pretty sure this was my mums attempt to tire out my brother and I after all the sweets and chocolate we had consumed throughout the day. Nevertheless it was always good fun!

If you hadn't noticed, I am an incredibly sentimental person. I am definitely a person who revels in the past. My family isn't the same as it used to be when I was a child and I miss that. There are so many amazing Christmas songs out there but these five remind me so much of happy childhood memories that they just have to be my top picks.

What are your favourite Christmas songs and why?

Shifts, Sign, Sleep, Repeat | Blogmas Day 3

First of all, 100% title credit goes to Lisa McFeeley.

She's a genius, I know.

Dammit, why didn't I think of that.

Anybody who knows me, knows I love my job. I work as a first aider at various events and locations. One of those events and locations being the Braehead Clan ice hockey games at Braehead Arena. I absolutely love ice hockey, I also love the Braehead Clan, even with their unpredictable game performances. So getting to work at the majority of the hockey games is perfect. The music, atmosphere and game is always good. Even when they don't win. The fact that I have my bestie working along side me only makes it better, especially when she loves the hockey too.

Tonight's came was Braehead Clan vs Nottingham Panthers and by god it was an exciting game. It had everything: fights, blood, cheating, drama and cute babies. I should rephrase that. It had everything, except a Clan goal. We lost, yet again. We put up a good fight though! Many fights actually!

Sometimes after a game, certain players will do a signing for their fans. Tonight, the entire team came to do a signing after the game! Ecstatic isn't even the word. We are lucky enough to have a boss who let us join the queue for the signing once our shift had finished. Forty minutes queuing and we were finally at the front.

We met every team player, they all signed our posters and we even chatted to a few of them too! We 110% turned into fan girls. I'm not even going to deny it. We both got our posters signed by our favourite players and even had a conversation with them about The Walking Dead. Lisa even got a photo with her favourite player: Brendan Brooks. There are absolutely no words to describe the excitement and happiness on her face when Lisa got the photograph with Brooks. It was a great way to end a long and tiring, but extremely good shift.

We've been working a lot of shifts recently and let me tell you, it is exhausting. Every single night, I cannot wait to get home and go to bed. We've been that tired we've been falling asleep on buses and then straight away at home, sometimes still in full uniform. Tonight definitely made all the sleep deprivation worth it though! The signed poster will definitely be going on my wall. I just need to get a picture with my favourite player too!

Graduation | Blogmas Day 2

When I started my blog, I was in my second year at university studying BSc Psychology. Fast forward two years and I have graduated with my degree and I am now studying for a MSc in Forensic Psychology. Time fly's and it's pretty damn scary.

I was supposed to graduate back in July with the rest of my pals but I had to sit one of our exams later because I had a panic attack the first time round. I didn't have a panic attack because of the exam but because my brother added caffeinated coffee to the decaffeinated coffee and caffeine and me don't have a good relationship. I am the weirdo that doesn't actually mind exams so I was gutted. In fact, I generally do better in exams than my course work.

I graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a 2:1 BSc (hons) Psychology degree. My mum, aunt and brother came to watch me graduate since my dad was working and they all cheered when I walked on to collect my degree. My aunt was in tears for a good 80% of the day and my brother actually fell asleep during the ceremony for a good ten minutes. I expected nothing less.

It was so cold when we left my house that morning that I had to wear my mums dressing gown and take a duvet with me in the car to survive journey to Glasgow. When we got to Glasgow we had an hour before the ceremony started to get my graduation robe and to have my professional photo's taken. As soon as we collected my graduation robe and I put the robe on, it confirmed my belief even more so that I belong in Hogwarts. It was a difficult decision to return the robe, I'd much rather have kept it to wear with my Gryffindor jumper but I also didn't fancy a substantial fine being emailed to me so unfortunately, it had to go back.

My mum insisted on getting the professional photo done. She also insisted on getting many copies of the photo to give out to family. This was not up for debate unfortunately. There were two background options for the photo: plain or library. Now, who doesn't want a photo in front of a library background?! I've always wanted my own library and this was the closest I was going to get for now so it was definitely happening whether my mum liked it or not.

The actual graduation ceremony wasn't as lengthy as I was expecting it to but it was rather boring. Hence why my brother fell asleep. The highlights of the whole two hours was a guide dog barking and when I managed to walk across the stage and collect my degree without tripping or falling over. It was a proud moment.

The only thing I didn't like about my graduation is that I don't have a picture with my besties because they graduated in July. Oh well, we are all now doing out MSc Forensic Psychology together so we will graduate together next November and I will get my picture then!

I met the SacconeJoly's! | Blogmas Day 1

If you haven't heard of Anna Saccone, Jonathan Joly or Emilia, Eduardo and Alessia SacconeJoly, you are seriously missing out. They are an Irish family who live in London and grace us with a vlog everyday at 6pm.

Emilia is 5, Eduardo is 3 and Alessia is nearly 9  months old. The kids provide us with a lot top notch entertainment, I mean who doesn't find it hilarious when a 3 year old starts swearing? I have been watching the SacconeJoly family daily since Emilia was only 9 months old.

I'm not obsessed I promise.

Recently, Jonathan wrote a children's book called The SacconeJoly's and the Great Cat Nap (Emilia is obsessed with cats).

Side Note: Amazing children's book, highly recommend.

It wasn't too long after the initial book announcement that the book tour was announced. Now, I didn't get my hopes up because let's be honest, who comes to Scotland, never mind Glasgow? Barely anybody. Sometimes Edinburgh but rarely Glasgow. But wait..... The tour dates were announced and I was thrilled. They were coming to Glasgow! I was finally going to meet the family I had been watching and admiring everyday for 5 years.

Again, totally not obsessed.

Both Anna and Jonathan came on the book tour with Alessia but Emilia and Eduardo stayed at home unfortunately. They are so cute, I would have loved to have met them. I mean, what other 5 and 3 year old have their own iconic gifs?

With each vlog that was uploaded of Anna and Jonathan travelling around the UK and Ireland on tour I got more excited. It was just typical that Glasgow was one of the last dates on the book tour. I had planned what I was going to wear, what I wanted to say and even the little gifts I was going to give them.

100%, definitely not obsessed at all.

When the day finally came I was queued outside the shop with plenty of time. There were so many people there! Izzy (part of the team) came round with the day's vlog and to this day I am annoyed that I didn't notice until she had already gone by. I mean come on dude, pay attention.

As I got nearer the front of the queue, I did start getting nervous. When it was my turn, Jonathan commented on my t-shirt which just happened to be a SacconeJoly t-shirt they released a few years earlier and Anna commented on my necklace which also just happened to be from her jewellery range.

Definitely just a coincidence.

I am proud to say that I didn't freeze and I did get to tell them what I wanted to: how much their videos can cheer you up even if you are having the worst day, how brave and inspirational Anna was for sharing her eating disorder story and how incredibly brave Jonathan was for sharing his experience with sexual assault. They both help so many more people than they realise, including myself, simply by speaking about their experiences.

The SacconeJoly family are definitely one of my favourite YouTubers to watch and I still can't believe I met them! Definitely one of the highlights of my year!

Happy Blogmas!
