10 Gift Ideas for Under £10! (girls edition) | Blogmas Day 5

Personally, I love buying presents because I really don't find it hard to buy for people. Grant, some people can be a little tricky but on the grand scheme of things I find it pretty easy to buy presents for friends and family. In fact, I am that person who has their Christmas shopping finished before December even begins. You just need to make it personal to them! If they like drawing and painting then get them some arty things, if they like ice hockey then get them some hockey memorabilia and if they like books then get them a few books from the genre they like! If you find it difficult to think of presents to buy people then here are a few ideas!

Pop Funko's

Pop funko's are a great present! Especially when you can find pretty much anything as a pop funko, from Harry Potter characters to Metallica band members, even characters from The 100! I managed to get my hands on Bellamy as a birthday gift a couple of months ago. If you don't like the bigger pop funko's then there are little keyring versions of the majority of the big ones too! There really is something for everyone!

Mini Perfume Festive Bauble

Perfume is expensive and there is far too much to choose from in my opinion. Last year I received a miniature version of the Ghost perfume inside a sparkly Christmas bauble and it was perfect. I had never tried the perfume before but heard good things about it and the bauble was only £6! This is perfect as an extra little gift or even as a stocking filler! You get to try out the perfume without paying a lot of money for a big bottle when you might not even like the scent in the first place. Lot's of perfume and make-up brands release a version this Christmas bauble you just need to have a browse online.

Disney Memorabilia

Everybody loves Disney. It doesn't matter how old you are, you just never outgrow Disney.  On the run up to Christmas, the Disney store have a lot of online offers throughout December. From 30% off Moana and Frozen memorabilia to half price soft toys! Definitely worth a look.

The live action remake of Beauty and the Beast has sparked a new love for Chip. Every single shop is creating their own Chip memorabilia now and I don't blame them because he is very cute! Primark have bags, purses, t-shirts, pyjama's and even socks with Chip on them! A chip mug is an essential for any Disney fan but I think £12.99 is a little steep for a mug, even if it is out of the Disney store. It just so happens that I have found the perfect alternative and it is from b&m! This chip mug looks just as good at the Disney store ones! In fact, you would never be able to tell the difference. The only difference is this one is only £3.99! It is definitely a must have this Christmas.

Pyjama Sets

As I mentioned before, Primark have a lot of different pyjama sets up for grabs. Disney, cats and dogs, ET, NASA, cartoons, Harry Potter and various Christmas styles to name a few! Nobody is going to turn down a cosy pair of pyjama's during the cold, Christmas weather. Most of these sets are priced between £8 and £10 and you can even add it cosy, fluffy socks too! Perfect if you are on a budget this Christmas!

Lush Gift Set

Lush can be expensive, I know. Most of their Christmas gift set's are well over £10 but you do have a couple that are around that £10 and if not, you can always make your own! Pick a couple of Lush products you know the person the gift is intended for will like, put them in a little gift box and wrap them up!  If Lush isn't your thing then you always have The Body Shop who have a huge range of beauty products. You could make up a little goody bag as a gift with a couple of face masks, lip balm, hand cream, shower gel and soap. The Body Shop even do their own Christmas gift set's too! At the end of the day you may get lot's of bath and shower products for Christmas but you are always going to use it so what's not to like?

Vouchers

If you know which shops your friends and family like but you aren't quite sure what to buy them from those shops you can always play it safe with a voucher! That way they can pick exactly what they would like. A £10 voucher can go a long way in certain shops! Vouchers are also perfect to add into stockings or to pair with another gift too!

Books

Books aren't everybody's cup of tea but if you have some one who loves them then you can pick them up fairly cheap. Supermarkets like Tesco and Morrisons have bery good pricing on their books with some hardbacks being as little as £6! Amazon also has a deal on books at the moment. You can get 3 books for £10. I have taken advantage of this deal numerous times and I have managed to save up to £20 on the books I have been purchasing! Even if two of the books you intend to buy are £8.99 each and the third £4.99, the total for all three will only be £10. It's an amazing deal! There is a massive range of books within the offer as well: children's books, crime, mystery, thriller, fiction, fantasy, non-fiction and memoirs. You will definitely find something among those categories. You can never have enough books in my opinion!

Candles/Room Decor

If you don't think of candles at Christmas then you are crazy! There is nothing better than watching a Christmas film with cosy pyjamas on and drinking a hot cup of tea with candles burning around you. I love all the Christmas scents like cinnamon and mulled wine too! Now you don't have to buy the expensive candle brands like Yankee candle, Primark candles smell really good and they last for a decent period of time. Tesco's own candles are the same and you can get some really big sized candles for as little as £8.

Room Decor is always a winner whether that be pillows, ornaments, fairy lights, jewellery holders of Harry Potter coasters like I have in the picture above, they are all great gift ideas! I have been wanting coasters to put in my room for months now because I now have white furniture and I am constantly drinking cups of tea. I was just too impatient to wait until Christmas and bought them for myself as soon as I seen them. Only £4 in Primark!

Make-Up

Every one likes a bit of make-up. Whether it is high end or drug store, as long as the product does what it is supposed to then what does it matter? Sleek is a very affordable drug store brand that I think is great. I was trying so hard to get my hands on their advent calendar this year but unfortunately I wasn't quick enough. Their lipsticks and eye shadow palettes are two of my favourite products. 12 good pigmented eye shadows for £8.99, what's not to like? Now Sleek aren't the only affordable drug store brand with lot's of make-up options, it just happens to be one of my favourites. You also have brands like Barry M, Rimmel, Revlon and Max Factor too!

Make-Up Brushes

There is nothing perfect to go with make-up than some aesthetically pleasing, colourful make up brushes. These mermaid brushes came from Amazon and came to a grand total of £6 for an entire 12 brush set. There were various other options like unicorn horns, Harry Potter wands, silver, gold and rose gold brushes as well. However, if you do prefer to stick with branded products, you can get Real Technique brushes for under or around the £10 mark too. In the picture above, the brush cleansing palette is by the Real Techniques brand and was only £5.19. I did purchase this item on Black Friday but it is currently priced under £10 on Amazon and you can get a combination deal that includes the brush cleansing solution too. A perfect combination of products!

There are plenty of gifts out there for people but I thought I would kick it off and give you ten suggestions that I would be more than happy to receive as a gift this Christmas. There is no need to get stressed out over Christmas shopping because if you take a step back and think of the simple things, you will come up with something and then just add a personal touch! Even joke presents go down well. I always try to throw in a joke present here and there, it just brings another element to the gift, makes it more fun. Hopefully my idea's have helped you come up with some ideas!

Merry Blogmas!

Christmas Jumpers and Christmas Party

So I have 7 Christmas jumpers (yes 7!) and I couldn't decide which one to wear for the Christmas party I was going to tonight. It was the St Andrew's First Aid company Christmas party tonight with our cadets joining us as well. I had quite a few options to choose from as you can see. I know it seems a little over the top to have 7 (and I may have 8 by this time tomorrow thanks to Rosie and her awesome jumper) but they have all been gathered over a couple of years so it makes it okay.

My Christmas jumpers are from a couple of different places, both the pug jumper (£12.99) and the cream and mint green patterned jumper (on sale for £7) are from New Look an the green Christmas house scene with the candy canes on the shoulders (which I believe Zoella owns) is from Primark (£10). The last 4 jumpers are all from random little shops in my town and where all between £8 and £10. The jumper I decided on was the Primark Christmas scene one and of course I wore the glittery reindeer antlers that are in the picture as well (they had bells on them!).

Tonight's Christmas party was a success and in my opinion much better than what our Christmas night was last year. I brought my Wii and loads of games, giant jenga and twister and we had the place all decorated with crackers, festive table cloths, streamers, tinsel and had the Christmas music playing in the background of course. Everybody showed up with Christmas jumpers on and looked great!  Giant jenga proved to be a huge hit despite us not being able to make a game last more than 5 minutes and twister was great (more like painful) as well. It was when it was time to play the Wii that it was my turn to shine because it's the only thing I am good at, especially Just Dance and Mario Kart. The cadets made a bad choice with those games because I definitely wasn't going easy on them! Just Dance was great fun and hilarious when we managed to convince certain people to join in to Beyonce - Crazy in Love. We made the very wise decision to play Just Dance before the food arrived instead of after, I could just imagine what that would have been like... Our local Chinese would have absolutely loved us with the 11 meals plus starters that we ordered! The box our delivery can in was massive! Nobody could finish their food so that's tomorrow night's dinner sorted. After dinner we had a mini Christmas quiz which became very competitive very quickly (so not my fault). My team did have very, very competitive people on it which is probably why we won. As the cadets are only young the Christmas party ended around 21:30 which was a shame because of how much fun we were having, there was about 30 minutes worth of cleaning up to do though so it was probably just as well it finished quite early. After the cadets had all went home and all the mess was cleaned up, what better way to end the night than sitting with crisps and juice, watching Casualty? No alcohol, no pubs  or clubs, just sitting with junk food and a medical drama, that's how us first aiders role and i definitely prefer that.

Tonight was such a great night and I am really glad that the football match that was scheduled for the early afternoon was cancelled and allowed us to make everything perfect for the party instead of first aiding in the rain. Everyone had a really good time and looking forward to Christmas even more now.

Today in my advent calendar I got a little pram with a little baby doll, it's adorable and I got to build the pram! Thanks for reading my 5th day of blogmas and come back tomorrow for day 6! (Spoiler - I may or may not be going shopping).
